The Purchasing Department falls directly under the Franklin County Commissioners' authority and provides services to county agencies, boards, commissions and shared services to cities, townships, and villages located within the County. The department services are in four programs: Procurement, Online Auction, Graphic Arts and Print Services, and Mail Services.
The Procurement Program ensures that all county agencies follow the Board of Commissioners purchasing policy when obtaining goods and services. This program is also responsible for the Small and Emerging Business Outreach Program which seeks to reach out to the small business within the county and to educate them on the county procurement processes and to provide them with opportunities to do business with the county.
The Surplus Property Online Auction Program provides assistance to Franklin County agencies, cities, townships and villages in the disposal of their surplus property at no cost by use of an internet auction site.
The Graphic Arts and Print Services Program provides the printing and copying centralized services to county agencies, boards, commissions and shared services to cities, townships, and villages located within the County.
The Mail Services Program provides centralized services to county agencies, boards, and commissions for all outgoing U.S. mail and interoffice mail.
